  • • RALLY SCORING method used – games to 25

    • Rally Scoring is a pickleball scoring method that allocates a point to the winning team of each rally (each individual point). So, your team can win a point when you are the serving team AND when you are the returning team. It is simple to learn and is used in most Team Style pickleball tournaments.

  • 1) You and your partner each choose a side to play for the game (i.e., I will play the right side and you will play the left side). You will serve and return from that designated side of the court for the entire game. You and your partner can switch sides on the occasion of a timeout or when switching sides of the court with your opponents.

    2) The game is played to 25. Every rally is worth a point regardless of whether your team is serving or not.

    3) Your team serves from the right side of the court or the left side of the court based solely on the number of points your team has at that time. If your team has an even number of points, the person on your team playing the right side of the court will serve. If your team has an odd number of points, the person on your team playing the left side of the court will serve.

    4) Although you and your partner have a designated side to serve or return from, you are not "stuck" on that side of the court throughout the point. After the serve or the return, you and your partner can switch sides and play from either side of the court during the point. After that point concludes, you would go back to serve/return from your designated side of the court.

    5) The first team to reach 25 (win by 1) wins the game.
